Kengeri is a town in Bangalore, developed by the Development Authority (BDA). There are many prominent areas in the Kengeri-Kanakapura region, such as the BEML Layout, Banashankari (5th and 6th stages) and Subramanyapura. In addition to this, the area is in close proximity to major residential belts of rajeswari Nagar and Uttarahalli.

Connectivity

Kengeri is strategically located towards West and offers smooth connectivity to other major areas in city such as Rajarajeshwari Nagar (7.7 Km), Jnana hi (7.6 km) and Nayandahalli (9.1 km). The Road is a major road that connects Kengeri to other parts of Bangalore such as Ramanagar, Chennapatna, Mandya and Maddur. Kengeri is only 1.5 kilometer away from BangaloreMysore highway, 1 kilometer from Nagarbhavi-Kengeri main road and a couple of minutes’ drive away from the NICE Road.

The area is well-connected by BMTC buses which connects it to different parts of Bangalore. Kengeri railway station is on the Bangalore-Mysore rail route and is a junction for numerous inter-city trains.

Despite being on the outskirts of the city, Kengeri houses a number of renowned schools and colleges such as S Academy of Technical Education, Government Model Primary School, Radha Krishna School, S Primary School, Pre-University College, Gurukula Vidyapeetha, BGS Engineering College and BGS International Residential School.
