Ellis Bridge is an iconic bridge of Ahmedabad, over the Sabarmati River. It connects the eastern and western parts of the city. This is the first bridge to be made in Ahmedabad, back in 1892. In 1997, the bridge was supported by concrete wings and was renamed Swami Vivekananda Bridge.
