Kanchipuram also known as Kanchi, is a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is 80 kilometers southwest of Chennai and situated on the western bank of river Palar. It is a temple town and the administrative headquarters of Kanchipuram district. International Airport is the major airport located at a distance of 61.5 kilometers via -Walajabad-Vandalur. The proposed International Airport at Sriperumbudur near Kanchipuram would further improve its connectivity with Chennai.
