Dwarka Expressway, also known as Northern Peripheral Road is an alternative link road between Delhi and Gurgaon that has been developed with the aim of facilitating the traffic situation on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. It is being developed under the public private partnership (PPP) model. The construction of the route shall be fully developed by June 2017. The expressway has attained National Highway Status. It has been renamed as NH 8A. The Dwarka Expressway will connect Dwarka with National Highway 8 at Kherki Dhaula and will pass Pataudi Road.
Economy, Industry & Employment
Reliance-HSIIDC SEZ is the prominent Industrial aspect of Dwarka Expressway. In addition, there will be a number of residential colonies in the area. Dwarka Expressway will have the largest commercial belt of the Gurgaon-Manesar Masterplan 2031. After Chanakyapuri, NCR’s second diplomatic enclave will be situated next to Sector 113 on the expressway.
Infrastructure
The Dwarka Expressway will provide a robust transportation network and will be accessible through multimodal mix of transport systems and Gurgaon's rapid metro system. Connectivity is assured to upcoming Delhi metro line on Dwarka Expressway, Delhi IGI airport, Manesar, Pataudi Road, Farrukh Nagar as well as old and new Gurgaon. The route will also promote the walk-to-work concept as part of urban planning.
Real Estate
A number of residential, commercial & institutional projects are coming up at Dwarka Expressway. Land acquisition on Delhi Side shall be supervised directly by the central government. Furthermore, the property prices are expected to rise again in the future.
