Manesar is a part of the National Capital region (NCR) of Delhi and is one fastest growing industrial region in Gurgaon district. It is located on the National Highway 8 and is well connected to neighbouring cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Rewari. Earlier, Manesar was a village with about 1,000 dwellings on Delhi-Jaipur Highway (NH-8); however, since late nineties it has transformed into a flourishing town with the arrival of many brands opening their industries here.
Infrastructure
Manesar has been witnessing infrastructure growth and development since past few years. The government has established headquarters of some of the major institutions like the National Bomb Data Centre, the National Security Guards and the National Brain Research Centre. The data centre for Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is also located in Manesar at the Industrial Model Township (IMT). The first World Trade Center (WTC) in Delhi/NCR was built in Manesar at Spire Edge. The under-construction Kundlli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway will improve connectivity between Delhi and Manesar. The under-construction Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project will also lead to the development of the area.
Economy, Industry & Employment
The IMT is a business centre and an industrial park in Manesar with many industries and corporates. Manesar houses many small, mid and large-scale industrial units and factories. HCL, Agilent Technologies and Alcate-Lucent India Ltd. are some of the IT companies which have their industrial units in Manesar. The city is also a prime centre for industrial units of automobile companies such as Hero Motorcycles & Scooters Inida, Hero Motors Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki.

Manesar is a promising real estate hub as a large number of population go to work here from neighbouring areas. With many factories, educational institutions, offices and industries, Manesar real estate is witnessing a boom.
