Kompally is a developing residential hub, located 20 kilometers to the North of Hyderabad and 59 kilometers towards the East from the District headquarters. In addition to this, the local MMTS train station is located at Bolarum along Bolarum-Kompally main road, just 5 km away. The first phase of MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) connects Secunderabad to Medchal. Taxis and autos are alternate modes of transports available in the area.
