Dahisar is a small town located in the suburbs of Mumbai and is situated on the Salsette Island. It is surrounded by scenic hills of the Park on the east and the Bay of i Creek and Saltpans on the west.
The locality has been divided into East and West and is connected to prominent areas of Mumbai such as Borivali, Andheri, Goregaon and Thane through the Western Highway. Due to sudden spurt of infrastructural development such as construction of wide roads, flyovers and pedestrian sidewalks, Dahisar is emerging as one of the most sought-after residential and commercial centres in Mumbai.
Connectivity
Dahisar is located within proximity to other west suburban localities of Mumbai which are easily accessible by local trains (Dahisar lies on the western railway line) and buses. The International Airport is 19 kilometres from Dahisar through the Western Highway. In addition to this, the construction of a 25-kilometre elevated corridor on the Western Highway from Bandra to Dahisar has been proposed to help reduce travel time.
