Guruvayoor is a municipal town near to Thrissur in Kerala. It is known for the Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple which attracts the fourth highest numbers of devotees in India every day. It is located towards the west of the city.

Guruvayoor has ten developers at least working on projects. Guruvayoor has a good network of roads that connect it to Kochi and nearby cities of Kerala. Kochi can be reached through the NH 17 which continues on to Edapally while Thrissur can be reached through the SH 49. The town has private and KSRTC buses plying through here, connecting it to other neighbourhoods of Thrissur and other cities. A number of buses from Kozhikode and Palakkad also arrive at Guruvayoor. Guruvayoor enjoys connectivity through airways via the Cochin International Airport, 100 kilometres away.

Guruvayoor has its own railway station along the Guruvayoor Thrissur Section, which is under the Southern Railway Zone. Two passenger trains depart from here for the Guruvayoor Railway Station for Ernakulam and two other passenger trains to Thrissur. Guruvayoor has an overnight train to Chennai which passes through Trivandrum, Kollam, Madurai and Trichy.
